Display your art at the 2024 Convention

APAT Members and Invited Guest Artists are eligible to display their artwork at the Exhibition. We are now taking applications from artists who wish to exhibit. Download a form and return to us by email, or you can use the online digital form to notify us directly.

The APAT Convention and Exhibition is on in October 2024. As eligible artists are selected to present this diverse array of Demonstrations at the Convention, we will continue to update their details below.

Explore a spectrum of techniques from pen lines to vibrant brush strokes, gold detailing, decal application and grounding techniques in this masterclass in glass painting.

Make your paintings ‘glow’. Learn how to enhance backgrounds for porcelain by painting gold and textures with Colleen Moss.

Estrella Munoz will guide you through the different layers and highlights to achieve this one-fire technique as you learn to paint gems with water based and open medium.

Discover an easy way to add impact to your backgrounds with a demonstration on how to create one-fire marble backgrounds, with Carolyn Pollitt.


Join our guest artist Clotilde Ruegg as she demonstrates a quick and effective way to paint free form flowers in limited firings.

Betty Hermel will demonstrate the results of using different products to achieve a more interesting subject in your art.

Sandra Brown demonstrates a different way to paint colourful full-blown poppies using grounding oil to achieve a ruffled feather look with this one-fire painting technique.

Join Guest Artist Sandra Bernaitis as she walks you through colour and patterns to create interesting backgrounds and koi for your designs.


Learn to draw pen lines using various oils and create interest with line thickness. Ga Na will teach you to add 3D effects with shading and volume.

Robyn will demonstrate a variety of techniques to create interesting and fun ways of working with paper and products.

Round out the demonstrations and learn from one of the greats, as Clotilde demonstrates free-form painting using milk and other products.

The exhibition will be part of the Australasian Porcelain Art Teachers Assosciation‘s 19th Convention and Exhibition at Rydges Cronulla Beach.
